Leigh's Paints, Company
Leighs Paints is an industrial paint manufacturer established over 150 years ago.
The journey of Leighs Paints began in 1860. Two brothers, William and Joshua Leigh, started a company that primarily concentrated on buildings and properties.
Paint making was a sideline until the second generation of the Leigh family, William Hamer and Herbert, took over the business.
Herbert Leigh focused the business towards paint making. Concentrating on developing ‘ready to use’ coatings for ships. The first of which was the famous ‘Leighs Marine White’ launched in 1924.
In 1929 that the Company’s well known Hawk and Trumpet logo was registered.
In the same year Philip Leigh-Bramwell entered the business. A young and ambitious man, Philip grew the business through the UK and exporting to overseas markets.
Today Brian Leigh-Bramwell is Chairman and continues with the same drive and determination of his predecessors.
With the benefit of 150 years experience, Leighs Paints drive and determination to be the best is stronger than ever.
